How was Your Friday?

happyAm I an eternal optimist, or has business been picking up over the past week? Today was a busy day. I had multiple, very productive appointments. I got a ton of stuff done at the office this morning, had a really good listing appointment in the afternoon, and wrote an offer tonight.

I am not writing this to be boastful, but merely to share an example of how business has picked up for me lately. I am truly grateful.

How about you? I am very curious what agents across the country have experienced since the election.

Lisa, it has been a good week. Two days ago while listening to Bill Self talk about "coachable players" I was wishing for more coachable clients. Got an email the next day, made a phone call, met in person today - I believe they are coachable. Yay! got my wish. It's been like this every day all week; one nice surprise after another.

Hi Lisa,

I'm not sure I can attribute my good fortune of late to the election as I reside in Canada, and while the election will have a impact on us above the 49th parallel, it won't have the impact or the immediacy that it will have for you.  However, that being said Today was also a really busy day for me.  I have found that despite the stock market fluctuations this while week has been quite amazing.

Thanks for sharing with us, and I'm truly Happy for you!

Hi Lisa,

Nice to hear you're had a productive day.

Mine, was busy, yet not sure right now how productive it was??? It's one of the days (imho) leading to production, lining up properties to show, meeting an appraiser and scheduling an inspection, all after REALTOR caravan (which I usually avoid).

I also have one day a week scheduled for "remodel" day, when I work "on" my business, not "in" my business. It's my best day of the week, creating new systems...etc.

The election itself has had no impact nor would I expect it to so soon.  But business remains good, just less than in years past.  May every Friday be a good one for you.

Aloha!

I am rebuilding from scratch after moving to a new state three months ago.  Slow going, still waiting for SOMETHING to happen.

This past week was not quite as stressful as last week when I had to cancel two escrows --- but quickly recovered by getting into contract the next day.

This is an up-and-down week. Today, I re-wrote an offer after speaking with the listing agent who reduced his list price. I also managed to convince a seller to reduce her list price.

Blogged about REOs and short sales in my city, and received an inquiry from a potential client. Lit a fire under a buyer who is interested in looking again. Have an appointment to show my short sale listing. Nursing two escrows where the lenders and underwriters are giving us fits. Managed to get agreement between my buyer and seller for repairs on one property, but struggling on another.

So it's the usual "Oh joy! Oh no!" week for me. But I am thankful that I am this busy. I keep reminding myself that the reason why I'm so busy is because I have.... CLIENTS!
